Many organisations and businesses need to capture data online. The most common use for this is to register interest in a site (eg. the Inky Mouse Designs Personal Quote Form). An online form saves your request to an Excel spreadsheet which is downloadable by the website owner on a daily basis from the host server. |

The same process can be extended to capture complicated data as part of an online survey. For example, we have set up an online data capture system for the National Amphibian and Reptile Survey (NARRS). The NARRS website has processed several thousand data records which are automatically stored in an Excel file allowing easy processing of data. |
